The Hawkins Hevibase Pressure Cooker is Induction Compatible, with an exterior bottom plate of AISI 430 grade magnetic stainless steel attached to the double thick base made of commercially pure virgin aluminium. It is safe to use on any gas, electric, halogen, ceramic, and induction cooktops in the home.
The heavy gauge, double-thick base is suitable for mild frying before pressure cooking. The base is always flat and never bulges. Gas, electric, ceramic, and halogen cooktops are all compatible.
